Over the 2021 holidays, I caught a flight down to St. Maarten for some R&R. What a perfect way to close out the year by strolling along the Simpson Bay each morning to watch the sunrise come over the mountains and sip on my morning black, no sugar coffee. During my stay on the bay, each day new mega yachts would come into the bay area and post up to enjoy the serene beauty of the Caribbean. St. Maarten is a part of the Leeward Islands and is comprised between the French side and the Dutch side. Due to its euro-owned slice of paradise, you felt like you were on a beach in the south of France with many Euro travelers living freely here due to Europe going on lockdown again over the holidays. Pair both Miami Vices, crystal clear water, some hot pink stockings and Steve Jobs’ “Venus” mega yacht in the bay and all your worries are gone!
Sunrise lighting, secluded beaches and a little bit of frolicking on the beach shore with Steve Jobs’ yacht in the background sounded like the perfect time to do a stockings review on these Fishnet Thigh-High Stockings Tights Suspender Pantyhose Stockings. Sandy wet feet and dry stockings were not the greatest combo for this shoot, but hey, we didn’t sign up for perfection did we? These stockings were one of the 6 that came in the assortment package from Skylety Store off of Amazon. From the moment I put them on, I knew they would be a bit big for my legs. But that is not only a good thing as I have been reviewing stockings due to every women having their own unique curves in their legs. The footy of the stockings were a bit small, which would not stay put around the curve of my toes due to them not being secure in my heels. We can’t win them all when we are trying to wear thigh-highs on the beach and showing that these stockings may just be for a fun shot on the sand and give a bit of education about the Venus yacht in the background.
As you get know me better, I am a Pisces who is always on or living my life by water. With the many celebrities in town for the holidays and New Years Eve bashes on the uber rich island of St. Barths, a 7 minute private jet flight from St. Maarten, the elite stops in to the bay to cruise around on their tenders to water ski and check out the 8 mile wide island of St. Maarten. The white, mirrored glass yacht out in the distance is Steve Jobs’ “Venus” boat. Sadly, Jobs was not able to christen the boat before he passed away during the construction of the boat which was built in the Netherlands. Steve and his architect spent only 90 minutes designing a rough layout of the yacht which would be styled as a minimalist boat including 6 bedrooms, accommodating 12 guests and 22 crew members. The yacht is 256ft long, and took 6 years to construct. His vision had no relation to the iPhone design, but the esthetics were focused on elegance and tranquility. The kids area was meant to be in the bow of the boat, while the adult playground was located in the stern of the boat. The yacht was completed in 2012 at $117 million dollars, one year after his death. His widower is now the owner and has been seen cruising the Caribbean, Bosphorus river, and the south of France. Throughout the day, his yacht would reflect the sun off the side due to the mirrored trim and ebbs and flows of the sea.
Advice: Sometimes stockings are just for play time and dress up, but these were more to see how they hold up when walking in the sand and those nights that lead you from the party to the midnight or sunrise beach walks. As pretty as the stockings looked with the yacht in the background, these would not be my go-to fishnets, unless they were a lighter color and fit more snug. Stay tuned to the next post…another celebrity mega yacht in Simpson Bay paired with some sexy opaque thighs highs! P.S. Dig those toes in the sand and keep traveling!
